Aftercare
One of the most important factors to retain long lasting results is your aftercare.
Aftercare plays a huge part of the healing process and following your aftercare plan properly will give you long lasting, beautiful results.
After your treatment and before you leave the clinic, I ensure sure that you have a full understanding of your aftercare process
and I also provide you with a free bag of specially selected aftercare products.
All my clients leave with the tools to properly look after their treated area.
All my aftercare advice for each procedure is listed below and of course, I am always contactable should you have any questions.
Aftercare for Plasma Fibroblast for Skin Tightening and Anti-Wrinkle
It is extremely important to follow the aftercare advice given in order for you to heal correctly.

Patient will experience a mild burning sensation immediately following any Fibroblast Lift treatment procedure.
This is similar to sunburn which should resolve within a few hours. However, this will depend upon your
sensitivity tolerance and this discomfort may last longer.
As a natural healing response, it is usual for the treated area to become swollen, especially around
the more delicate area such as the eyes. Ice packs not only soothe but also help reduce the swelling.
Recovery can vary depending on your natural rate of recovery. Most people find it takes a few days.
Initially after treatment and up to 3 days later, there may be occasional weeping.
Again, this is the natural healing response to the Fibroblast Lift procedure.
Fibroblast Treatment Healing:

Wash face with a mild cleanser like dove soap twice a day and apply healing ointment.
Do this till the scabs are off usually takes 1 week or so.
As the treated area begins to heal , you will notice the drying out process whereby a brown/black crust develops
on the surface of the skin. This will flake off after a few days but in some cases can take up to 10 days.
Do not pick the crusting as it can lead to infection or scarring. It is important to keep this area clean.
It is strongly advised that you use sunscreen SPF 30-50 sunscreen once the carbon crusts have gone and also
throughout the year including the colder months, to avoid sunburn. This is because the area’s sensitivity
to sunlight will be heightened for up to 3-4 months post Fibroblast Lift procedure.
Boiled lukewarm water is best for cleaning the treated area.
Do not use alcohol based cleansers as this will slow down the healing process.
If at any time the treated area(s) become too hot, red or show signs of pus, please contact me or your doctor
for advice as you may be developing an infection.
It is important that the crusts are not removed so never scratch them otherwise a scar will remain.
Instead twice daily in the morning and in the evening, carefully clean the areas with a mild cleanser such then
apply the provided ointment twice daily.
After the independent peeling of the scab crusts (typically the 5-8 days), pink/red skin forms.
Swimming and Sauna are only permitted 3 weeks after procedure and once all the crusts have fallen off the
skin surface and is completely healed and closed.
Smokers may experience a significant worsening of the blood flow, which increases the risk of wound
healing and/or slowed healing.
Note that after the crusts are lost a slight redness may remain in the following area treated in the weeks or months.
It takes 4-6 weeks (sometimes longer) until the skin has reached it’s normal colour again.
Follow up treatment will not be before 8 weeks from the first treatment date.
Aftercare for Dermal Fillers
Lip Fillers
Short term side effects include:
A small amount of bleeding from the injection site, bruising, swelling and tenderness.
These should all pass within approximately 48 hours after the initial treatment.
My top tips for an incredible final result include:

Avoid excessive or very strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours after treatment.
Avoid sweltering temperatures for at least 24 hours after treatment.
Use an ice pack on your lips.
Drink plenty of water.
Avoid excessive salt for 24 hours as this can dehydrate.
Stick to foods that are easy to eat
Avoid kissing or massaging your lips directly after the procedure and possibly for up to 24 hours
if it is your first lip filler injection.
Do be gentle with your skin while washing for 24 hours.
Do not use an exfoliating agent for 24 hours or any harsh cleaning brush.
Do not have a facial massage for at least two weeks.
Do not drink through a straw for the 1st day as this puts pressure on the lips.
Do not drink alcohol for at least 24 hours after you have had fillers.
Can I eat?
The answer is yes however on the first day try and stick to foods that are easy to eat and chew,
this means you’re less likely to have to wipe your lips and disturb the injection site.
An hour after getting lip fillers, apply an ice pack or Arnica cream, both of which can decrease bruising.
Don’t massage, pick, or itch around the injection site since it may boost swelling and redness.
After lip enhancing injections, the swelling can persist for a week or more. During this time the lips can look uneven so it is important to understand that the result immediately after your treatment will not always be the final result.
Hyaluronic filler treatments (Juvederm, Emervel, Restylane, Perfectha, Teosyal, Stylage, Belotero and Revolax) may last from 6 months up to 12 months, depending on the area treated, age, skin type, lifestyle and muscle activity.
Fillers are broken down through the body’s natural processes and there are no permanent side effects.
Aftercare for Microblading

The pigment immediately following the procedure will appear quite dark and the skin underneath it will be red.
After all, needles are used to cut into the skin, so it’s typical to experience some redness
and sensitivity immediately following.
It takes anywhere from 7 to 14 days for the skin to begin to appear healed and for the pigment to
fade to its intended shade.
Follow these steps to take care of your skin after Microblading:
Avoid getting the area wet for at least 7 days. This includes keeping your face dry during a shower.
Don’t wear any brow makeup for at least a week. This is because the pigments are still settling into the shallow cuts in your skin caused by the blading.
Don’t pick at scabs, tug, or itch the eyebrow area.
Avoid saunas, swimming, and excessive sweating until the area is completely healed and you
have a follow-up appointment.
Keep your hair away from your brow line.
Apply any medicated cream or healing balm provided by me as directed.
After your skin is fully healed, you’ll want to protect your microblading investment by taking care of your skin. Applying a sunscreen to the microbladed area may help prevent fading.
Aftercare for Blemish Removal
Treatment
Immediately following advanced epilation treatment the skin appears quite red, inflamed and slightly swollen.
It will probably feel hot, sore and may even sting a little. This initial reaction normally subsides after several hours.
It is essential that the following advice is carefully adhered to:
Apply the soothing product regularly with clean fingertips or damp cotton wool to the treated area.
Apply quite liberally always on top of the existing application. This will keep the area cool and prevent infection from entering. If the area feels particularly hot and uncomfortable, place a cold dampened clean cotton wool pad,
soaked in the soothing product onto the treated area.
Avoid direct heat such as hot baths (showers), saunas or exposure to ultraviolet light (sun or sunbeds).
Also be careful of a hot hair dryer.
Use a minimum SPF 25 over areas treated (and exposed to UV light).
Avoid deodorant (if underarm area treated i.e. a skin tag).
Do not apply any other product to the treated area unless specifically advised to do.
Avoid touching the area unnecessarily.
Aim to wash / cleanse around the treated area and pat dry (avoid rubbing).
Avoiding anything that may be associated with causing the skin blemish in the first
place (blowing noses hard, alcohol, spicy food, glasses too tight etc.).
After advanced epilation treatments a very fine scab formation will become noticeable.
Do not encourage it’s removal i.e. do not tamper with the scabbing and be careful after washing not to
rub too vigorously with a towel so as not to disturb the natural healing process.
After skin tag treatment the blemish will probably immediately appear smaller, darker and harder than before.
Again allow the natural healing process to occur and do not encourage removal too quickly.
Normally if treatment is successful the blemish will simply come away from the skin a few days following treatment. The skin underneath will look a little pink and fresh and should be treated for the next 48 hours as already advised.
Normal skin healing takes approximately 5-7 days.
